In-Depth Discussions Rules:
The intent of the In-Depth Discussions Forum is to discuss Political and Charmed related issues. Please be warned to enter and debate at your own risk, but there are some rules that will be enforced.
1. Reply at your own risk, but all replies must be respectful to Members.
• There will be no name calling.
• There will be no flaming (personal attacks on or insults toward other members)
• There will be no derogatory remarks about other members’ posts (e.g. referring to members’ comments, argument, or opinions as stupid, lame, etc.)
• When Charmed's Spell moderators or administrators are speaking officially on the board, or being addressed officially by the members, no snide, snarky or rude comments toward, or bashing of Charmed's Spell, the board, or the decisions of Charmed's Spell, will be tolerated in any forum.
2. This is a debate forum, as such, all posts MUST have a point the poster is trying to convey. No posts, such as “I agree,” or “That’s cool,” or “Oh, I never thought of that” will be allowed. Posts should be detailed. If you agree, then elaborate on why you agree or disagree; keep the ‘conversation’ going. If you hadn’t thought of what someone posted, explain why that thought never occurred. Keyword – EXPLAIN.
3. Spelling and Grammar. As this forum is towards more to the older crowd and the more opinioned people, I would assume you are up to date on your English lessons. The only exceptions are foreign fans, and even they seem to have well enough English.
• “Text Talk” is forbidden. TyPinG lyk tHis is not okay. Also, "you" instead of "u" looks so much better. Likewise with other shortened words. If you want people to take your opinions seriously, type like you mean it.
• Another thing, make sure you know the difference between "to", "two" and "too", etc.
• No posting in ALL-CAPS. Quite frankly, they are annoying.
4. Cursing. This falls under many different categories.
• There are absolutely no excuses for calling other members curse words.
• If you are going to call Bush an “not a very nice person”, please remember than words are censored on this board. And, do not repeatedly call a politic figure a swear word. We got it the first time. Keep your strong hatred out of the threads.
• Basically, if you can help it, don’t use a word your grandmother would not appreciate hearing.
5. FACTS. If you are going to start a political discussion, get your FACTS straight before posting a discussion or reply. Not much needs to be said about this. It’s pretty straight forward. Check your sources, and if needed, post your sources. Some people might actually want to see sources if you claim Bush (or anyone) said something.
• Likewise, this applies to the Charmed Discussions. Don’t post something that never happened. State episodes things have happened in. If you are quoting a character, say who said it and in which episode it was said in.
6. All other Charmed's Spell Rules apply.
*** This forum will be heavily monitored. Do not get personal and if you are having any problems or you see a problem arise in a thread, PM me immediately.
